Relationships & attachment — understanding recurring patterns
You may feel like you keep finding yourself in the same situations in your relationships.
Certain dynamics seem to repeat, despite your awareness and your efforts.
You sometimes understand what is happening… but in the moment, something still takes over.
Why these relational patterns persist
Our relationships are often shaped by patterns that were formed earlier in life.
Ways of reacting, protecting ourselves, or adapting that once made sense.
Even when they are no longer helpful, they can continue to play out automatically.
What you are experiencing makes sense
These reactions are not flaws.
They are often linked to past experiences, unmet needs, or relational wounds.
Understanding them helps shift from self-judgment to awareness, and opens space for change.
What this work can support
Over time, this work can help you:
– better understand your reactions in relationships
– recognize emotional triggers
– set clearer and more aligned boundaries
– experience more ease and stability in your connections
This is not about changing who you are, but about transforming how you relate.
A depth-oriented therapeutic approach
My work is inspired by Compassionate Inquiry®, an approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté.
It allows us to explore emotional and relational patterns in depth, beyond surface behaviors.
The aim is not to fix things quickly, but to understand what keeps repeating — so that something new can emerge.
I offer this work in Brussels and online.
